2 days with the girls (and ryan)

jessie and simone were offered a well deserved getaway in santa cruz by one of their employers, and i got to go for the first two days! the energy level was palpable and as always it reminds me that i am in fact over 50. lotsa beach, lotsa sun, lotsa beer, lotsa photo shoots, lots of loud crazy dance music.....loved it all. best part is lotsa giggling to full blown gaffawing....all day, every day. the big purchases were a deck of cards the size of a thumb and a pack of play money the size of placemats and a whoopie cushion. entertained them for days! the nights were spent playing :"tiny cards, big money" and scaring the crap out of mama erin by sneaking up behind her and exploding the whoopie cushion in her ear.....the glass of wine i was enjoying was thrown up in air and i was drenched in red. and as always i wouldn't have traded those two days of being included in with the girls for anything in the world!
