choir practice

the fall equinox is just around the corner!

it is a time of balance,
the daytime hours equal the nighttime hours
it is a time to stop and relax, enjoy the fruits of our personal harvest,
whether they are from toiling in our garden, working at our job, raising our families, or coping with the craziness of every day.

Choir Practice will meet on Saturday the 25th.
for relaxation and celebration!!!!

it's a time to look back, give thanks and make plans for the future.
wiccans celebrate the goddess as she passes from mother to crone...
druids give thanks to the green man.."mea' n Fo' mhair"...
japanese pay respect to family members who have passed...
chinese celebrate with moon cakes (yum) piled in a pyramid to symbolize a full year...
native americans honor aging deities and the spirit world...
....our celebration will include the burning of sage,
and thanking the four compass points:
to the north for home and health
the east for knowledge
the south for accomplishments and
the west for relationships.

And of course we'll drink wine,
eat breads with seeds and grains,
eat apples and nuts and any other 'fall yummies" we come up with.

saturday the 25th
4pm until whenever
bring a SMALL appetizer if you like
bring a craft/art project to work on...or not.!

SEE YOU IN THE FALL!
