Choir Practice....
as in..."gee i can't do whatever it is you want me to do tonight because...sorry...i have to go to choir practice!"
we had a 2 in their 20's...1 in her 40's....4 in our 50's.
projects included:
quilting
knitting
'stained glass' work
journaling
and we welcomed in spring by sending our hopes, dreams, wishes, prayers out into the universe.
the bell was rung thrice, we meditated on our hopes and wishes and wrote them on parchment, rang the bell thrice again, lit our prayers and then mixed the ashes into the soil. a very special rose bush* was then planted to symbolize the beginning of spring............then CAKE AND ALE for all!! AND some very yummy appetizers, and wine as well.

this was an additional prayer 'added to the mix' a little later

*one half of this rose bush was given to me by the sweetest of the sweets: brandon
and everywhere i live i plant a rose for the original Rose Reynolds...my dad"s mom.
