big ol' ugly sweater

i got this ridiculously huge wool sweater at a local thrift store.  felted it.  cut it up the middle.   crocheted all around the edges with left over yarn i had here.  cost $2.50.   and what did i end up with?  a  small ol' ugly cardigan.
it was just a trial run.  i hope to get just the right huge old wool sweater and then some really cool yarn for crocheting.
this one still needs buttons....maybe i'll find some big ol' ugly buttons.  

(btw, that's my afghan under there.  it's a work in progress.  i finished doug's and jessica's.  mine's finally big enough to keep me warm while i add on rows.)
